I'm still defying the grey, wet weather with some summer brights - but the cool air and the damp won out on this day so on went my Hobbs honeysuckle trench as well. (My hair also got its frizz on in the wind and the rain which we had to endlessly dodge, so please excuse the bird's nest.) I may have been fine indoors with a midi and short-sleeved sweater, but I caved when it came to the photo shoot and kept the trench ON. ..!
After a couple of suggestions for featuring statement shoes as the theme for this week's #iwillwearwhatilike link up, I decided to go with fabulous footwear and finally got round to wearing the gorgeous bronze heels I've had for a few months but not yet worn. (I thought about wearing them with my vintage 50s dress I wore to a wedding a couple of weeks ago, but decided it all looked a bit too retro as the shoes have quite a 1940s/50s feel to them, especially being bronze.)
I like that they subtly echo the warm gold colours of the statement choker from Asos (last seen here) and really complement the white midi: To be honest I don't think there's a more classic or elegant shoe shape than this. I think I've been so enamoured with Liz's Jimmy Choos that I felt I needed a pair of my own, though I chickened out of going designer and went with a high street version ;)
Scroll down for the link up (don't forget the theme is optional!) - and tell me: What are your dream shoes or absolute favourite pair? Are they ones you already own, or do you dream of Louboutins, Jimmy Choos, etc... Do tell me in the comments!

Trench: c/o Hobbs (same in plain blue) | Sweater: Next (I like this yellow striped t-ee) | Skirt: Asos (similar lace version) | Shoes: Asos | Bag: Accessorize (I like this one) | Necklace: Asos | Watch: Asos | Nails: Max Factor Glossfinity 'Red Passion'

Thank you for joining my new #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started as a campaign on Instagram in August 2015 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist's list of "inappropriate" items for 30+ women (including leopard print, short dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yes, really). It was so popular that I decided to carry it on weekly where women of all ages link up their fabulous style, never mind what anyone tells them not to wear.
So link up all your fabulous outfits (or shoes, accessories, make-up, etc.) every Monday at 3pm UK time. Whilst the original article was of course aimed at the 30+, you can be ANY age to link up. The only criteria is that you're fabulous!

My favourite SHEER outfits from last week's link up:
** The optional theme for 28th September is Anything Goes **
