Mustard yellow is great at any time of year, but it's especially gorgeous in autumn. I was spending a Sunday out and about for lunch and at the garden centre, and my grey marl sweatshirt toned down the dressiness of these yellow peg leg trousers from Asos beautifully. More earthy tones were brought in with tan (bag and as always, my hair), stone (flat cap) and taupe (suede boots). These La Redoute boots are currently half price and very comfy - I love the metallic straps on the back.
The other statement piece in this outfit is the antique gold pleather hand-cut necklace that I was kindly sent by Etsy seller Miss Fluff - it's so delicate and unusual (and being made of pleather, perfect for vegans). I'd intended to wear it with the yellow trousers and a white shirt but it was just too dressed up for the garden centre, so I swapped the shirt for a sweatshirt... Voilà, instant casual chic!
I don't shop on Etsy nearly enough but I know I should... do you shop a lot on Etsy and what sellers can you recommend? Do share in the comments!

P.S. If you like this, you might like to see another outfit where I've used a grey marl sweatshirt to tone down a pleated maxi skirt.
P.P.S. If you missed what I saw at the garden centre the same day you can see it on my (not for the easily shocked, however)!
